Import movie tickets from Apple Wallet
Last updated: October 1, 2026
If your theater gave you an Apple Wallet pass, you already have everything Cinnamy needs. Share the pass and the movie, theater, showtime, auditorium, and seat are filled in for you. The ticket’s QR code comes along too, so it’s ready at the door.
This works with passes from any theater, big chain or neighborhood single-screen.
Before you start
Cinnamy reads the pass with Apple Intelligence, right on your iPhone, so make sure it’s turned on. Nothing about the ticket leaves your phone for this step.
If Apple Intelligence isn’t available on your iPhone, Cinnamy will tell you, and you can forward the confirmation email or add the ticket by hand instead.
From the Wallet app
- Open Wallet and tap your movie ticket.
- Tap the ••• button, then Share Pass.
- Choose Cinnamy. If you don’t see it, scroll to the end of the row of apps, tap More, and turn Cinnamy on.
- Cinnamy opens on its own and shows you what it found.
- Check the details, then tap the checkmark to add the ticket.
From an email, message, or file
Some theaters send the pass as an attachment instead of adding it to Wallet. That works too.
- Find the
.pkpassattachment in Mail or Messages, or the file in the Files app. - Share it and choose Cinnamy.
- Check the details in Cinnamy and add the ticket.
If something looks off
Cinnamy matches the title on the pass against The Movie Database. Most passes are straightforward, but a few print a shortened title or leave out the auditorium. Tap Edit to fix anything before you add the ticket. You can always change it later, too.
If you see Couldn’t import ticket, the pass probably isn’t a movie ticket, or the theater left out the details. Tap Add Manually to fill it in yourself, or forward the confirmation email instead.
