Terms of Use

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Cinnamy is currently in beta, made by one person who loves the movies. Using it means you're okay with the terms below. They're short, we promise. "We" and "us" here mean Cinnamy and the person who makes it. You need to be at least 13 years old to use Cinnamy. TestFlight has its own terms from Apple, and those apply too.

What Cinnamy is — and what it isn't

Cinnamy is a companion for your movie-going. It helps you keep track of your upcoming showtimes, view ticket information, see movie details, find new films to watch, and track your stats.

Cinnamy is not a vendor. It doesn't sell tickets, hold seats, or manage any theater membership. Buying and changing tickets happens with your theater, not with us.

Cinnamy is currently in beta

The app is still in active testing and development. It may have bugs, change without warning, or lose data — although we will try as hard as we can to avoid that. You are ultimately responsible for backing up anything you'd hate to lose (we make that process easy for you), and please don't let it be your only copy of a ticket. We recommend confirming your showtime and seat with your theater, especially if something doesn't look right; they are still the most reliable source. Cinnamy does not assume responsibility for any harm resulting from incorrect information from the app (such as sitting in someone else's seat you thought was empty).

Where our info comes from

Showtimes, theater details, movie information, and post-credits details come from outside sources, and sometimes they're late, incomplete, or just wrong. We do our best, but we can't promise it's accurate or up to date. A showtime in Cinnamy isn't a booking, and it isn't a promise that a seat exists.

Movie data is provided by TMDB, but Cinnamy is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

No affiliations

Cinnamy is an independent project. It isn't affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any theater, theater chain, ticketing service, studio, or anyone else whose names, logos, or data show up in or through the app. Those belong to their owners, and we only use them to say what they are.

If you own something in Cinnamy and want it fixed or taken down, email boxoffice@cinnamy.com and we'll sort it out as soon as possible.

Your stuff

Your tickets, history, and stats are yours, and you can export them any time. Only add tickets and emails that are yours to share. How we handle data is covered on the Privacy page.

Our stuff

Cinnamy itself (the app, its design, its name, and its logo) belongs to us. Share it, talk about it, and show it off all you like; just don't copy it or pass it off as your own.

Please be kind

Use Cinnamy for yourself, not for business. Please don't scrape it, overload it, poke it for weaknesses, or copy or reverse engineer it, except where the law says you can.

Your feedback

We love to hear from you, and strive to make Cinnamy an app for the community. So if you send us feedback or ideas, we're free to use them however we like, with nothing owed in return, other than our sincere thanks.

The fine print

Cinnamy is provided as is, with no warranties, whether about accuracy, availability, or fitness for any purpose. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including missed showings, lost or unusable tickets, wasted trips, or lost data. Since the app is free, anything you could claim from us is limited to the smallest amount the law allows. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

These terms, together with the Privacy page, are the whole agreement between you and us. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any disputes will be handled in the courts of San Francisco County, California.

Changes and goodbyes

We may change the app, the beta, or these terms at any time. If the terms change in a big way, we'll update the date at the top. If at any point you no longer agree with the terms outlined on this page, you can simply delete the app. What happens to any personal data we have about you is covered on the Privacy page.
